Prof. Goutam Chakraborty delivered a lecture on “An Introduction to Electroencephalogram (EEG) and Related Research Problems in Brain Machine Interface (BCI)”

Keynote speaker of the 2nd International Conference on Science in Information Technology (ICSITech 2016), Prof. Goutam Chakraborty from Iwate Prefectural University – Japan delivered a general lecture to students of Department of Informatics Engineering and students of Department of Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Industrial Technology, Universitas Ahmad Dahlan (FTI UAD). The lecture is conducted on 24th of Oktober 2016 at 03.00 pm in Auditorium Utama Campus 3 Universitas Ahmad Dahlan. This lecture was attended by Nuryono Satya Widodo, S.T., M.Eng. (Head of Department of Electrical Engineering), Anton Yudhana, S.T., M.T., Ph.D.and also some other faculty members.

In front of more than 200 students Prof. Goutam Chakraborty delivered an introductory lecture entitled “An Introduction to Electroencephalogram (EEG) and Related Research Problems in Brain Machine Interface (BCI)” Prof. Goutam Chakraborty explained the definition of Electroencephalogram  (EEG). EEG is a kind of test which conducted to measure electrical actrivity of human brain,  to detect any anomalies within the brain. This activity used a special electrode which plugged in human’s head and connected to a computer. EEG recorded electrical activities of human’s brain and represented it through  wave graphs. This device used electrode attached into the skin of human’s head and used electrical wave.
